design-pick
Pick a page element, copy its code context, and check your edit.
The Chrome extension works on its own. The command-line tool is optional. Selected page content and screenshots stay on your computer; no telemetry or design-pick account is required.
Release status: the Chrome extension 0.3.2 has been submitted for review with the revised Free/Pro split and is not publicly available. Automatic publication is off. Existing MIT CLI functionality is unchanged; matching command-line downloads remain separate. New Pro purchases are currently closed.
Free features (0.3.2 Chrome extension under review)
- Click the toolbar icon, then select an element on a supported website.
- Copy a basic packet containing its selector, HTML element details and rendered CSS context.
- Select multiple elements with Shift-click.
Chrome-protected pages, including the Chrome Web Store, do not allow extension injection. Element selection and basic copying work without active Pro or command-line setup. The previous 0.3.1 extension provided source hints and open-tab property comparison for free; the 0.3.2 review build moves those advanced features to Pro. Existing MIT CLI functionality is unchanged.
Optional Pro features
- Source-file/line hints when available and before/after rendered-property comparison in the 0.3.2 Chrome extension review build.
- Before/after element screenshots and pixel comparison in the browser.
- Optional command-line headless verification, signed-in page checks and automated CI comparisons.
Planned offer: US$29 once, no automatic renewal, with a 14-day refund. Keep included Pro features, including new paid features first released before the end of twelve calendar months from confirmed payment. Later new paid features require an optional purchase. License activation, periodic validation, offline grace and refund/revocation rules apply. Existing purchases retain their original terms and expiry.
The software and license key are non-transferable and may not be resold or shared with another party. Work you create using the tool may be used, shared or sold, subject to rights in any third-party content.
The new offer remains closed while final terms and production feature-rights/recovery checks are completed. The license terms draft is provided for review and is not effective.

When the Chrome listing is approved and released, installation instructions will be available here. Existing purchasers can use the downloads in their Polar customer portal. Keep the supplied matching release files for reinstalls. Contact support if your receipt lacks a download or key; do not email a full license key.
